People take risks in nature and nature is unforgiving. Sorry to hear of these people passing away, but that's the risk you take when you go up against Mother Nature. I'm not surprised by this news. I've been in this area and it is common avalanche country.

Ian was a good father. I shoveled out our shared parking lot and walk way for his family every time it snowed this winter because I know how difficult it is having a new born child. Ian's business was the backcountry. He spent most every day this past winter safely out in the generally much more dangerous avalanche areas surrounding Crested Butte. He did this because it was his business, which is how he supported his family, not because he was an adrenaline junkie. We will miss our neighbor. Our community is prepared to support his family with whatever they need. That is how we get by up here in the mountains. Life is hard and so are our skins but our hearts are soft. Rest in peace Ian. You will be remembered and missed.

That's the mountain telling Vonn to retire. The next time she may not be so lucky to only come out of this with just a knee injury. Skiing at these speeds is not only unnecessary, but it's flat out foolish.

Hopefully it was just a slight bump on the head which might give her second thoughts about hanging around with that cheating loser sex freak Tiger Woods. She is much to beautiful both inside and out to be screwed over by this jerk!

It will be hard to view Armstrong in any other light than that of a pathological, narcissistic liar. But his story, the first comeback, and possibly the next comeback in the media, will be told for years to come. Talk about a complex character that so many people once loved will now hate.

Armstrong is scum. Plain and simple. Anyone who ever doubted that he was doping is clueless. There are certain people in our society that cheat and screw people over to get ahead. Does anyone doubt that his cancer was a direct result of all the performance enhancing drugs he was taking?

There are also people that can be feed dog poo if their idol or organization tells them it's ice cream. They will eat it up with pleasure. As long as it helps them feel secure and reinforces who they are. Can be politics, sports, religion, etc.

Sports should be clean. Period.

Time to clean up Football, Baseball, etc. Football has got to be one of the worst.
